Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the At-Home Sequencing website and service, operated by Get Meridian Health Inc. By reserving, paying, or using the service, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

At-Home Sequencing is a service of Get Meridian Health Inc, a Delaware corporation, 131 Continental Drive, Newark, Delaware, USA ("we", "us"). Contact: me@pandeymikhil.com.

2. The service

We bring a trained medical professional and sequencing equipment to your home, collect a cheek swab, and perform whole-genome sequencing on site. The sequencer and compute unit run offline. We write your raw genome to a drive you keep and remove all equipment when we leave. We retain no copy of your genomic data.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. The service is currently available only in the service areas we list (San Francisco and New York City), and requires a suitable, safe indoor space to set up the equipment.

4. Reservations, pricing, and payment

• A $500 deposit reserves your slot. It is applied toward your total and is fully refundable as described in our Refund Policy.
• The remaining balance is due when we schedule your appointment. Prices shown on the site are in US dollars and may change, but the price for a confirmed reservation will not change after you reserve.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.

5. Refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy. In short, your deposit is fully refundable up to one week before your scheduled sequencing date (July 7th for pre-orders), and you can reschedule at no charge within the same window.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and a safe, accessible space for the visit.
• Be present and 18 or older, and only sequence your own genome unless every person sequenced has consented.
• Keep your own backups of the drive we provide. Because we retain no copy, we cannot recover your data if you lose or damage your drive.

7. Your data and ownership

Your genome is yours. You own the raw genomic data and the drive it is written to. We do not receive, store, or have any ability to access it. How we handle the limited non-genomic information we do collect is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. No medical advice

Nothing we provide is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and the data is not validated for clinical use. Do not rely on it for health decisions. If anything concerns you, consult a licensed clinician who can order accredited diagnostic testing.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service and site are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee specific coverage, completeness, or analytical results for every region of the genome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for that service.

10. Intellectual property

The At-Home Sequencing name, logo, site, and content are owned by Get Meridian Health Inc. Your genomic data is not ours and is excluded from this section. You may not copy or reuse our branding or content without permission.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the date above, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
