Privacy Policy

At-Home Sequencing is built so the most identifying data you own, your genome, never leaves your home and is never held by us. This policy explains what that means, and how we handle the limited information we do collect.
Your genome stays with you. Sequencing and basecalling happen on equipment in your home that is not connected to any network. Your raw genomic data is written only to a drive you keep. We do not receive, upload, store, or sell your genome, and we are structurally unable to.
Who we are
At-Home Sequencing is a service operated by Get Meridian Health Inc, a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, contact me@pandeymikhil.com. Registered address: 131 Continental Drive, Newark, Delaware, USA.
Your genomic data
This is the part that matters most, so we state it plainly:
- Your sample is collected and sequenced in your home. The sequencer and the compute unit that turns the raw signal into your genome run offline, with no network connection.
- Your raw genome (for example BAM and FASTQ files) is written to a storage drive that you keep. We retain no copy.
- We do not transmit your genomic data anywhere, do not store it on our servers or in any cloud, and do not sell, license, or share it. There is nothing to breach, subpoena, or sell, because we never hold it.
Information we do collect
To run the business and serve you, we collect a small amount of ordinary information:
- Contact and scheduling details you give us: name, email, phone, and the address where we perform the visit.
- Reservation and payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited details (such as the amount and your email), but we do not collect or store your full card number.
- Waitlist and form submissions if you sign up through our site or a social media lead form (for example, name, email, and city).
- Website and advertising data. Like most sites, we use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to understand traffic and measure advertising. This may include your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, and identifiers used for ad measurement.
How we use information
- To schedule and perform your sequencing visit and provide support.
- To process your deposit and balance, and handle refunds or cancellations.
- To respond to you, and to send service and (if you opt in) waitlist or marketing emails.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To meet legal, tax, and safety obligations.
Cookies and advertising
We use the Meta Pixel and related cookies (such as _fbp) to measure ad performance and reach people who have shown interest. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalization in your Meta account settings and via industry opt-outs such as the Digital Advertising Alliance. These tools handle website analytics only; they have no access to genomic data, because none is generated online.
How we share information
We share the limited information above only with service providers who help us operate, under contract, and only as needed:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Meta and analytics providers for advertising and site measurement.
- Email and scheduling tools we use to reach you.
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we never sell genetic data because we do not hold any.
Data retention
We keep contact, reservation, and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them. Because your genome never reaches us, there is no genomic data for us to retain or delete.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to stop marketing emails at any time (use the unsubscribe link or email us). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the GDPR, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. To exercise any right, email me@pandeymikhil.com and we will respond as required by law.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but the most sensitive data, your genome, is protected by design: it is generated offline and never transmitted to us.
Children
Our service and site are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
